FARMVILLE

Does anyone of you play FarmVille on Facebook?
I did. Yes, DID. I just deleted the application because everything I have been doing on Facebook lately is harvesting, plowing, planting and collecting/sending gifts. Isn't this crazy?
This game got so ridiculously time consuming that this has been the only thing I've done after getting home from work (besides from reading blogs). Day after day after day.
My work already consits of 99% computer work and as I mentioned in an earlier post I have been working long hours lately. But still, first thing (after kissing hubby and petting the cat) I turn on the computer and play FarmVille because I have no access to Facebook at the office. How weird is this??? It's an addiction. And this isn't good.
So I thought that I have to put an end to this. NOW. And so I did.

Did any of you experience something like this with online games?

JANUARY FAVORITES

Yes, another post :)

I can't believe that January is over already. I feel like everything I have been doing the past month was work, sleep, work, sleep,work...And all I want to do now is sleep. But this will have to wait for another few hours.

In January I sported pretty much the same look every day. So I haven't used many different products except for changing the color of my eyeshadow.

Last month I used my High Heel mascara every single day. I like how my lashes look a bit longer when I use this mascara in combination with an eyelash curler. The litle brush separates the lashes pretty good. But I am still searching for the ultimate mascara that makes my lashes appear longer and thicker whithout irritating my eyes. And it has to be available in brown.
Any recommendations?

I also loved the MAC mineralized skinfinish that I got from Rina. It has such a lovely shimmer to it and makes my face look fresh even when I am tired. I also tried using it as an eyeshadow but it didn't work. My lids would start itching a few minutes after application. Too bad :(

Then I re-discovered the Eve Pearl blush trio. I quite like how the colors compliment my new hair color.

The Boss fragrance is one of my all-time favorites for winter. It is a rich scent but not too heavy.

The last product is a concealer from a German drugstore brand. It actually says 'camouflage' on it. Well, it doesn't provide a coverage like camouflage makeup would do but it is a really nice concealer that matches my fair skin really well. I tend to use this concealer underneath my eyes and the Eve Pearl salmon concealer for the rest of my face where I need it.

NAILS OF THE WEEK

Hello girls!

Yes, I am still alive...and working. I have been working so much for the past two weeks that I wasn't really in the mood to blog or do anything at all. Usually I either work from 8am until 4.30pm or from 9.30am until 6pm. For the past two weeks I have been working from 8am until 6.30/7pm. Yesterday was 7.30am until 6.30pm. I already feel so exhausted and it doesn't look like the situation is going to change anytime soon.

Okay, enough of the whining....I did actually paint my nails twice last week :) It is nothing special though. Just wanted to post something to keep myself entertained.

MAG SCAN - GERMAN ISSUE OF JOY MAGAZINE

Hello girls!

I was flipping through the February issue of the German edition of JOY magazine yesterday and found a few looks that I really liked and that I wanted to share with you.

I love the hairdo and makeup in this look. Unfortunately my hair is not that long and I don't wear extensions because I already have thick hair and a lot of it. But I would love to try this side braided pony tail. I think it looks gorgeous and can also be worn on a night out.

Here I absolutely love how they did her eyes. It makes her beautiful blue eyes pop. I know it is only eyeliner (!) but I have absolutely no talent in applying eyeliner accurately.

Okay, I don't like the hat. The winged eyeliner below her eye looks quite interesting though. It gives her eyes such an intense look.

JEWELRY

Good evening my lovelies!

I hope you are enjoying your week so far. Only two more days until it is weekend again :)

This past weekend I got a little crafty and made some jewelry for my shop on DaWanda.
These items are not available in the shop yet because I need better pics to upload. It is hard to get good pics when you leave home in the dark and return in the dark. Today I had the afternoon off, but the batteries of my camera decided to die....oh well. I'll just have to wait until Saturday.

YVES ROCHER BODY SCRUB

Hello girls!

I got this body scrub as a little christmas gift from Yves Rocher. So I had a few weeks to test this product and I quite like it.

I am not a big fan of body scrubs because my skin often reacts irritated. And usually I don't like the smell of beauty products that contain a lot of olive oil because it's too heavy. This product smells pretty good though and I am going to continue using it. I use it twice a week, mostly for my neckline and my arms and it leaves my skin smooth and refreshed.

This is a very creamy scrub and the little grains don't irritate my skin because they are really smooth. The scent fades after a while so you won't run around smelling like a fresh made salad :o

This jar, which I think looks kind of cute, contains 200ml (6.7 fl.oz.) and a little goes a long way. It sells for €12.95 here in Germany and $16 in the U.S.. For further information on this product click here for the german online-shop and here for the U.S. For other countries see www.yves-rocher.com

And here are the pics...

NEW SHOES

Hello ladies!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Last week I decided that I desperately needed some new shoes for winter because I got wet(!) and cold feet in my boots while waiting for the train. I discovered that the sole broke which is why the melting snow sneaked into the boots. And then there were other boots that needed to be replaced because I wore them a lot . They were sooo comfy :(

So here is what I found. They are not very stilish, but hey it's winter(!) and I need warm shoes when I am outside waiting for the train and walking to the office.

And I also got this beautiful, soft green scarf. I just love wearing scarves. I sometimes don't even take them off during the day. So people often ask me if I am sick *lol*.

NEW BLOG NAME - AND THANK YOU

Hello lovelies!

In a previous post I have written that this year I want to start doing new things and get rid of things that bother me.
In the process of giving my blog a facelift I have decided to also give it a new name (link will remain the same). I tried to think of something fancy, something unique. This is really difficult because I want a blogname that describes what this blog is about.
But what is my blog about? Beauty? Fashion? No, not exactly. It's about my life, things that I want to share or that might be interesting for someone out there. So what should I name my blog? Well, I think the result is not fancy nor unique. The new blog name will be....simply....

...because that's what I do. I write about everything that comes to my mind.

I am still playing around with my new blog layout. There is still something missing...I don't know, but I will figure it out.

I also want to take the opportunity to thank all of my readers for following this blog and not getting bored. THANK YOU! Thank you for your comments and emails. Your support really means a lot to me. I never thought that even one person would be interested in what I have to say.
I know that I don't have as many readers as beauty bloggers or fashion bloggers. BUT I appreciate every single one of you who takes the time to read my little posts and comment on them. THANK YOU!

IMPRESSIONS OF WINTER

Hello girls!

A wonderful Sunday to everyone!

Friday night it snowed again. I know that some of you, especially those who live in the UK and in France, are fed up with the snow already. But here in the little corner of Germany where I live, we didn't have that much snow yet. So I was happy to watch the snowflakes fall to the ground and cover everything. I've always loved snow. It makes the world appear so peaceful and quiet.

Here are some pictures of the garden around our house and the sundeck (that we've built during summer).
